Spirit Animal Altar Creation Workshop Saturday 12th July 10am - 4pm A whole day to create your own Altar guarded by spirit animals, inspiration drawn from our connection to nature. Crafted from earthy clay, I will take you through the steps to form the altar and then sculpt on animals and plants, personalising them from the outset. Add accessories or incense dishes, extra shelves for crystals. There will be paint on hand to add details should you wish too. Your Altar will be formed among other like minded attendees, a small group of up to 8 (including me) in my garden studio, all of us working to create our spirit animal Altars. We will stop for a short lunch so bring a pack lunch and bottle of drink. I will provide hot drinks. After the workshop, I will dry and fire your Altar. This will take some time to dry and be ready for firing, perhaps up to 8 weeks. I can post your Altar for an extra charge (min £10) if you plan on coming from further afield. Set in my Lost Garden Studio, you'll experience my garden pottery haven, surrounded by trees and plants, the odd fox and squirrel, and many birds. I do heat the studio but please bring warm layers and wear clothing you don't mind getting clay and paint on. Booking Please book online. Cancellations If you need to cancel your place on your course I can refund the amount in full if cancelled 14 days or more before the start date, after this date I can not refund any of the payment. Please Note: Strictly over 18s only. All materials, tools and firing services are included and aprons are supplied. You will be able to collect finished pieces 3/4 weeks after the pottery day. Our friendly dog may be around- if you can't be around dogs then just let me know before we start the course to discuss your needs. I'm afraid that I don't currently have wheelchair access as there are two patio steps. If I need to cancel, I will contact you all as soon as I know and make arrangements to reschedule.
