Autumn Term A beginner/learners 7 week course on Wednesday mornings 9.30 - 11..30am Starts on Weds 11th September with the final week on Wednesday 23rd October All materials, firing and glazing services are provided. Set in my garden, the Lost Garden Studio is a haven - surrounded by trees and plants, the odd fox and lots of birds. I do heat the studio but I suggest wearing layers and clothes you don't mind getting clay on. You will spend two hours a week exploring stoneware clay and throughout the course, you could try various building techniques, decorating and glazing. You will be able to hand-build a variety of pottery which could include pinching, coiling, slab building or sculpting. I also have one pottery wheel on which we'll work through throwing small bowls, cups or plates. As my classes are small you will receive plenty of time with me as well as 121 tuition on the wheel. Some pots will be fired ready for glazing too, so you will experience various decorating and glazing techniques too. My classes are fun, informal and relaxed. Ideally, you would bring along ideas of what you would like to hand build- there is no set 'curriculum' of what to make, so you could think about a small project to start with and then let the creative juices flow from there. If not please don't worry, just getting your hands into clay often kickstarts the creativity! Booking Please book online. Cancellations *** IMPORTANT PLEASE READ*** If you need to cancel your place I will refund the amount in full if canceled 14 days or more before the start date. After this, I can not refund any of the payment. PLEASE NOTE I can not refund or replace missed sessions once the course has started. Please Note: Over 18s only There are no additional costs: all materials, tools and firing services are included and aprons are supplied. You will be able to collect finished pieces 4/5 weeks after the end of the course. Our friendly dog may be around- if you can't be around dogs then just let me know before we start the course to discuss your needs. Access to the studio includes two steps and a narrow path and a narrow passageway. If I need to cancel a session, I will contact you all as soon as possible and either offer an alternative session or a refund. If you have any special requests or requirements please contact me to discuss before booking your place.

Cancellation Policy

Please cancel via email or telephone call or text to ensure I get your message. If you cancel within 14 days of your booking start day, I am unable to refund your booking. However if you cancel 15 days or more before your booking start date I will refund you in full. If you are joining a course and need to cancel a session I can not refund you a single session. I may be able to make up the missed hours of one session but won't always be able to. Refunds will take place within 14 days of your cancellation although of course, I will aim to refund you straight away. Please allow time for funds to clear.
